Several small fires were burning in alleys off Rosemont and Windomere Ave in Winnetka Heights, according to reports this morning. Details are few, but it appears the fires were started in trashcans or brush piles in the alleys, and in one instance the fire spread to a wood fence, destroying a 6 foot section. The fire department was called to the scene and has put the fires out.
