Back Talk Oak Cliff blogger Skye McDaniel notified me of another Oak Cliff BYOB restaurant: Herrera's on Illinois between Westmoreland and Hampton. We featured Don Panza and also mentioned Oak Cliff Pizza & Pasta, Vitto Italian and Texas Caribbean Food, but I was surprised that I had such a hard time finding BYOB restaurants in a mostly dry neighborhood.
I even asked François and Anne Chandou for suggestions, figuring that the owners of a wine warehouse would know the places you can bring along a bottle, but the only other place they could think of was the now closed (sadly) Peña’s. I'm sure I missed a few, and I hope you'll let me know what they are.
Is that Herrera's owned by the same folks that own the one on Maple?
