ViewPoint Bank to open Oak Cliff branch

The corner of Hampton and Illinois will be home to a new bank opening this fall, according to the ViewPoint Bank media room. The expected opening was mentioned in the company's press release about another full-service branch that recently opened in Euless.

Two interesting mentions in the press release: First, that ViewPoint Bank, headquartered in Plano, is "the largest financial institution based in Collin County, with more than $1.8 billion in assets." Second, that opening weekend festivities involved lots of freebies, including free tickets to a Neil Diamond concert.

One can only hope.
